Governor Oyetola Approved Prince Omisore As Osun Volleyball Chairman

Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola has approved the nomination of Prince Tunde Omisore as the Chairman of Osun State Volleyball Association.

Governor Oyetola charged Prince Omisore to immediately strengthen volleyball in the state toward all national championships.

The Governor urged Prince Omisore to focus on moving volleyball in the state forward adding that the government will support in their little way.

The statement read, “This is to humbly refer to the above topic and to inform you that Mr Governor, His Excellency Adegboyega Oyetola has approved your nomination as chairman of Osun State Volleyball Association.

“Your focus is to move the sport forward with little or no financial burden on government.

“You are therefore requested to start immediately to strengthen your sport towards all national competitions”.

Prince Tunde Omisore said the appointment will be a major boost in investing more in volleyball.

He said, “The appointment by the governor will further boost the image of volleyball in Osun state.

“I will ensure that the state return to its rightful place in the volleyball fraternity”.

President Bola Tinubu has called on Governor Siminalayi Fubara, political leaders and their supporters in Rivers State to exercise restraint and uphold the rule of law.

In response to recent tensions following last Saturday’s local government council election, the President expressed deep concern over reports of arson and explosions in the state.

He urged all political actors to de-escalate the situation and discourage their supporters from engaging in violence or destructive actions.

President Tinubu directed the police to restore and maintain peace, law, and order immediately.

While instructing law enforcement agencies to bring the situation under control, he emphasised the need to ensure the security of public institutions.

President Tinubu said government facilities built with public funds must be safeguarded from vandalism.

He stressed that self-help has no place in a democratic system, especially after 25 years of continuous democracy.

According to President Tinubu, the judiciary can settle all political disputes, and the outcome of this election should be no exception.
