IBB Lady Golf Section Honours Kayode Adeniyi For Contribution on His Birthday

Saturday 6th 2021 will forever remain fresh in the memory of the former FCT Sports Writer Association  SWAN Chairman Comrade Kayode Adeniyi when IBB International Golf and Country Club Lady Section honoured him for his immense contribution toward the growth and development of golf in the country.

Honour was a birthday gift for the sport veteran, who has from time to time working toward the growth of the lady golf.

The Lady Golf Section joined millions of well-wishers to celebrate the former FCT SWAN chairman at the closing ceremony and award presentation for the Past lBB Golf Lady Captains Tournament held on Saturday in Abuja

While speaking, the IBB Lady Captain of the club, Maryrose Richard-Obioha, praised Mr Adeniyi for his reportorial contribution to the club and Lady Section in particular.

“Every Lady Captain since the year 2000 has benefited immensely from this man. He is always with us. There is no time we asked for coverage that Kayode will not obliged us. Thank you, Kayode, for all you have done for this club.

“You are a great man, passionate about your work and also tolerate us. We will forever associate with you. On my behalf and the entire Lady Section, I want to say happy birthday to you and many more in good health,” she stated.

However, the winner of the tournament, a Former lady captain, Christie Adejoh, expressed “I’m happy to win the maiden edition of this championship on your birthday. I remembered how you supported my administration in 2005 with coverage of all my events. I truly appreciate your support to me that time and now. Thank you Kayode and many happy returns to you.”

The Secretary, Lady Golf Section , Lizzy Asomugha, also showers encomium on Kayode, describing him as our man in the Lady Section.

However, the elated Celebrants, Kayode Adeniyi, thanked the present administration of the Lady Section for recognizing his reportorial duties for the section and the club. He promised to continue projecting the activities of the club to the entire world.

Chairman emeritus fondly called has been covering golf activities since 2000, said he would not relent in his effort to project the game of golf in the country

Meanwhile, Christie Adejoh,  2005 lady captain emerged overall winner of 2021 edition of IBB past ladies captains tournament with course handicap of 22, gross score of 98 and net score of 76.
