Japan Embassy, TIG Joins forces to grow Gymnastics

As part of continued effort to grow the game of Gymnastics in the country, the Japan Embassy has joined forces with Tony Asuquo Gymnastics club TIG, Abuja, to help training Nigeria Coaches, as well as provision of gift items for the kids that will propel them to victory in future.


It’s no longer a news that Coach Tony has channeled all his energy to grow the game and training thousand of gymnasts that have represented the country at local and international competitions.


The  Ambassador Mr Matsunaga Kazuwoshi  on Monday, in Abuja, who has monitored the progress of the club, has endorsed the TIG  club and promised to ensure the club’s progress the more.


While speaking, the TIG CEO, Coach Anthony Asuquo, in a chat with AljazirahNigeria Sports, said the club will not relent in discovering, nurturing and monitoring the progress of young gymnasts until they make Nigeria proud.


According to him, it’s with great pleasure we announce our new endorsement with the Japan embassy.


“We had our meeting with the ambassador on Monday and we came to a great conclusion. 


“The ambassador has promised some gift items for the kids that will be gifted to the winners. He promised to be present on our fun-day and do a fitness display with the kids. 


“Not only that, the embassy has also promised to find a means where the coaches can go for trainings in Japan to equip themselves further.


“And his Chef will be coming to make dishes for the kids

Mavlon FC arrives Europe on 21 days training tour

The management of Mavlon FC have taken another giant stride in the development of her players by embarking on a training tour in Europe.

The team led by the chief coach, Muyiwa Showole, comprised of players and other officials, arrived Bulgaria on a training tour of 21 days that will see Mavlon FC play friendly games with some clubs in the Eastern European country.

In May, Mavlon FC were guests of Golden Eaglets at the FIFA goal project, Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja  when they engaged the National U 17 team of Nigeria in a friendly game, which witnessed sublime football artistries from both sides all through 90 minutes.

The team displayed strong football qualities despite losing 1-0 to the Eaglets.

24 hours later, Mavlon FC were too formidable for Tiki Taka academy, beating the team at their home ground in Abuja 1-0 in another friendly game played in Abuja Al geared into putting the team is great shape ahead of the training in Bulgaria, Europe.

It is also interesting to note that Mavlon FC has Stephen Emmanuel, one of the players of the victorious Golden Eaglets team that won the WAFU B U17 tournament last Friday, making the training tour of the team.

01.07. 2022.

Mavlon FC vs FC Levski-Krumovgrad. Match Time: 5pm.

Venue: Evima Football Field, Bansko, Bulgaria.

10.07.2022.

Mavlon FC vs Levski-Karlovo. 

Game Time: 10:30am

Venue: Evima Football Field, Bansko, Bulgaria.
