Lagos Is Ready For NFF’s AGA- Akinwumi

Lagos State FA Chairman Barrister Seyi Akinwumi has revealed that the center of excellence state is ready to hold the 2022 Annual General Meeting AGA of the Nigeria football federation NFF come August 18th, 2022.
He states this in his message of Assurance on Monday toward the success of the meeting that will decide the election date for the new executive before the 30th of September 2022.
It will be recalled that the court injunction that affected the federation for not holding AGA in December 2021 has been discontinued by the plaintiff.
All is now set come Thursday 18th August 2022 in Lagos, the 44 voting delegates that make up the elective congress will meet to work out a roadmap and hopefully, appoint an electoral committee that will map out modalities for fresh NFF elections in September this year.
Almost all the candidates have aligned with the federal government directive as read out by the sports minister Sunday Dare that elections must be done in September this year, in line with the NFF status.
According to NFF’s first Vice President, It’s yet another time when we are called upon to come together and put football first.
“I assured you total commitment and willingness to the seat of bright future of Nigeria football.”

NVBF seeks continuous partnership with Abia Govt after successful 2025 Nat Div 1 & 2

The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) have expressed profound appreciation to the Government and people of Abia State for their outstanding support and collaboration during the successful hosting of the final phase of the 2025 National Division 1 and 2 Volleyball Leagues.
In a statement signed by Engineer Musa Nimrod, NVBF President, the federation commended Abia State for its warm hospitality and commitment to the development of sports, particularly volleyball.
Nimrod explained that the successful event was a result of the strong partnership between the federation and the state government.
He said, “The Board of Administration of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, on behalf of the entire volleyball community in the country, wishes to express profound gratitude to the Government and people of Abia State for their noble collaboration in organizing the final phase of Division 1 and 2.”
He further highlighted that Abia State is gradually becoming a hub for volleyball in Nigeria.
Nimrod attributed the growth of volleyball to the government’s investment in youth and sports development.
He emphasised the NVBF desire to sustain and strengthen this partnership to further promote volleyball and empower young athletes across the nation.
“The federation remains grateful and looks forward to a more robust and progressive partnership with the Abia State Government in the future.”
