Mahanaim FC Confirms Aliyu Imran’s Move to SK Prostejov

Mahanaim FC has annouced the transfer of striker Aliyu Imran to Czech Republic club SK Prostejov.

Imran, 19, signed a 3-year contract with the Czech second division club after an impressive familiarisation period. The 1.96m Kaduna born goal poacher is a thorough bred Mahanaim product whose ability to learn and understudy senior players of the club became a major asset.

His unique fighting spirit, pace and power, intelligence and goalscoring prowess attracted SK Prostejov to him during Mahanaim FC’s 2024 annual scouting event in Abuja. He further proved himself as a great ambassador of the club during his familiarisation period in Czech Republic.

He narrated his excitement on completing his transfer to SK Prostejov from Mahanaim FC as a dream come through.

“This is a dream come through for me. I can’t describe how I feel. I thank everyone who has contributed to my development to this stage. Most especially our Sport Director, a man who is like a father figure to me.

“I thank all my coaches, staff and teammates at Mahanaim FC. I’m very happy in SK Prostejov and I thank everyone here for how they’ve received me and help since i got here. It’s a wonderful club,” Imran said.

Director of Media, Mahanaim FC, Mr Olaoluwa Aro also speaks highly of Imran; “Imran is a good kid. Very resilient, patient and responsible. We all are very happy about this transfer. On behalf of everyone in this club, I wish him all the best of luck in his professional career,” Olaoluwa enthused.

Aliyu Imran had a scoring ratio of 1.3 goals per game during his time in the senior team of Mahanaim FC.

Niger Delta Games Organisers Mourn Senator Ewhrudjakpo, Condole Bayelsa Govt

Organisers of the Niger Delta Games, Dunamis-Icon, have commiserated with the government and people of Bayelsa State on the  demise of the Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo.


In a condolence message signed by the Managing Consultant, Sir Itiako Ikpokpo KSM, and physically delivered by its Project Director, Mr Fred Edoreh, through the State Commissioner for Sports, Hon Daniel Igali, at the Yenogoa Sports complex on Wednesday, December 17, Ikpokpo stated that the  demise of the Deputy Governor is not only a loss to his immediate family and the government of Bayelsa State, but to the Niger Delta and nationwide sports.


“We are well aware of his contributions to nation building, not only as a former Senator and Deputy Governor, but also as a notable figure in the development and promotion of sports in the Niger Delta region and at the national level,” Ikpokpo stated.


“His passage is therefore a huge loss, not only to the government and people of Bayelsa State, but also to the sports family, nationwide. 


“As Project Consultants of the Niger Delta Games, the management and staff of Dunamis-Icon Limited share in your grief and wish to convey our heartfelt condolences to you and all Bayelsans.


“We pray that God grant you the fortitude to bear this great loss.”
