Miyetti Allah Lauds Gov Alias For Acknowledging Communal Nature of Benue Crisis
The Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Fulani Socio-Cultural Association, has appluded the Executive Governor of Benue State Governor Hyacinth Iormen Alia for acknowledging that the conflicts in Benue are rooted in communal clashes.
In a statement issued on Friday by the National Secretary, Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore. Engr. Alhassan Saleh Kubah appericiate the governor effort to address the challenges.
According to the statement, On behalf of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Fulani Socio-Cultural Association, we extend our gratitude to you for your recent statement, acknowledging that the conflicts in Benue are rooted in communal clashes among the Benue people, in your reaction against the lie peddled against us by Senator Udende, at the national assembly, your recognition of this fact is a significant step toward understanding the complexities of the situation.
“We appreciate your clear stance that going forward, no one should hastily implicate pro-Fulani groups of pastoralists in the ongoing crisis. Your commitment to avoiding such assumptions is crucial in fostering a fair and impartial approach to addressing the challenges faced by all communities.
“It is heartening to note that you, as the Chief Security Officer of the state, have emphasized the communal nature of the conflict. This acknowledgment will undoubtedly contribute to dispelling the unjust profiling of Fulani herders. Your understanding that these herders are essentially farmers seeking sustenance for their herds reinforces a more balanced perspective on the matter.
“In concluding, we express our sincere gratitude for your commitment to truth and justice. Your leadership in fostering a more nuanced understanding of the situation in Benue State is commendable, and we look forward to continued cooperation in promoting peace and harmony among all communities and we hope to meet you soon on a review of the ban on open grazing by Governor Samuel Ortom.

“Numerous international, UN organizations as well as UN Special Rapporteurs have reported gross human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir.
“Media and press is under tremendous pressure by Indian Government especially in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir which is evident from India’s ranking of 161 out of 180 countries as per 2023 World Press Freedom.
“Jammu and Kashmir has been converted into world’s most militarized zone and the largest prison on earth. Pakistan stands firm with Kashmiri brothers and sisters and will continue to provide unwavering diplomatic support.
“Pakistan demands that International community including United Nations and it’s relevant Human Rights Machinery, Civil Society Organizations, Media Houses and other defenders of Human Rights to fulfill their obligations towards besieged Kashmiris by playing their part to end the rule of tyranny and oppression.”
Meanwhile, Kashmir Solidarity Day marked with special prayers for the martyrs of Kashmir, mass rallies, peace walks and symposiums highlighting the plight of Kashmiris under Indian rule across the globe.
