Musa Nimrod to bag Blueprint Newspaper 2021 Sports Administrator of the Year

For his contribution to sports development in Nigeria, Engineer Musa Nimrod will be awarded 2021 Sports Administrator of the Year by Blueprint Newspaper.

Engineer Musa Nimrod, a sports philanthropist is the President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Secretary General of Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB), Zone 3 and member of the Beach Volleyball Commission in Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB).

In 2021, the Nigeria Volleyball Federation led by Engineer Musa Nimrod orgainsed President Beach Volleyball Cup, the Nigeria Volleyball Super Cup, the first phase of the National Division 1 Volleyball League and the Nigeria Volleyball Premier League.

Nigeria senior teams (men and women) participated at the 2021 African Volleyball Championship in Rwanda where the women finished 4th while the men placed 7th position.

Nigeria participated at its second consecutive FIVB U19 Boys Championship and finished 14th position, while the U18 National team attended training tour in Ghana.

The Vice President of International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), Engineer Musataque Mohammed and the Secretary of FIVB Athletes Commission, Gilberto Santa aka Giba visited the country to access the growth and development of volleyball in Nigeria.

The volleyball supremo sponsored Kaduna State Sitting Volleyball Association to the recently concluded National Sitting Volleyball Championship where Kaduna state emerged victorious

Nigeria hosted the African Youth Games Beach Volleyball Qualifiers in Lagos last month with the country qualifying for the boys and girls category. Nigeria will host the 2022 African Youth Games indoor qualifiers in a yet to be decided date.

Nimrod is a member of Nigeria Beach Soccer Commission and sponsored Kaduna state to the two phased of the National Beach Soccer Leagues in Kwara State and Kebbi state respectively.

CSO Salutes Trump

A Civil Society Organization (CSO) under the aegis of Initiative for Leadership Development and Change (ILDC) has congratulated President Donald Trump as the 47th President of the United States of America.

Chief Ugochukwu Nnam, President of the CSO said this in an interview with the Newsmen in Abuja on Monday.

He expressed optimism over improvement on not just American economy but global economy with the inauguration of Trump.

“This is a man with greater vision of making environment around him great.

“In less than few hours of his inauguration, TikTok is back into existence, this shows how he is going to revive the world economy,” he said.

The ILDC boss who reiterated his confidence in Trump’s Presidency, described him as a man of clues and ideas to drive a stable America and the world at large.

He lauded Trump’s collaboration with global entrepreneurs like Elon Musk in an effort to revitalize America’s economy.

According to him, men and women of ideas flock together, they work together for better society and this is what Trump is doing.

Recall that Donald Trump became the 47th President of the U.S by polling 312 electoral votes Vice President Kamala Harris’ 226 votes in Nov, 2024.

Following the oath of office, Trump will address the nation before he is expected to parade across town to the White House and attend three inaugural balls in the evening

About 200,000 supporters are expected to visit the city to mark the presidential transfer of power.
