…As Kebbi Fishers wins in a close game against Smartcity BSC 5-4

The KADA BSC has walloped Badagry BSC  by 15 goals to 4 goals in the opening match of the ongoing Nigeria Beach Soccer League Super 4 Finals 2022 season in Birnin Kebbi.

Kada BSC started the rout as the pump in 7 goals into the Badagry Warriors BSC net before they boys from Lagos managed to put 3 back to end the first period 7-3.

On resuming to the second period, it was goals galore for the boys from Kaduna netting another five goals with Dozie Frank and Tanko Emmanuel having to score 9 goals between them.

At the end of third round,KADA added 3 goals while Badagry BSC managed to score one goal.

The man of the match, Captain of KADA, Dozier Frank attributed the success to the entire team and expressed optimism to defeat the defending champion in their next game.

Speaking at the end of the match KADA Coach,Kabiru Issa commended his team for excellent performance, stressed that,they are in Kebbi state to win the tournament.

He also gave kudos to Badagry BSC for fighting spirit, noted that, the team poor  performance was due to fatigue and unable to rest properly before the game.

In his remark, Badagry BSC coach, Matanmi Marufu, linked their poor outing to fatigue, red card received by their key players, adding that they are hopeful to have good outing in their next game.

However, in the second match, between defending champion, Kebbi Fishers BSC and Smart City BSC, the defending champions Kebbi BSC pulled through with luck due to the had fighting spirit of the  Smart City to win 5 goals to 4 to close the end of day 1.

2 games will go down tomorrow with Smart City BSC taking on Badagry BSC in the Lagos and South West derby before the repeat of last year’s finals between Kebbi BSC vs Kada BSC.

Lawal Delivers Another Brilliant Performance in Europe

After displaying great form for Istra 1961against Vukovar in the score draw encounter in the elite league few days ago in Croatia, Salim Fago Lawal has continued to enjoy rave of the moment status in the Eastern European nation.

On Wednesday, Lawal was on the scores sheet for Istra in the 75th minute against Kurilovec, but it was only for consolation, as Istra crashed out of Croatian cup in round 16.

It was a masterpiece display from the former Flying Eagles striker, whose work rate has shown great development after joining Istra from modest Nigerian clubside in 2023.

He has scored three goals and two assists, totally five – goal contribution as a striker so far this season.

Interestingly, two other Flying Eagles players, Israel Ayuma and Charles Agada, who are also former players of Mavlon FC, featured in the game and they gave good account of themselves.

Sadly, it was not the day of victory on the pitch for the three former players of Mavlon FC of Lagos.
