NCF Set for 2025 AGM and Elections Next Week
Joel Ajayi
The Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) wishes to inform all stakeholders and the general public that its Annual General Meeting (AGM), which includes the election of new board members, has been scheduled for September 20, 2025, in Abuja. This process will be conducted in accordance with the approved NCF Constitution.
The announcement was made in a statement released on Wednesday in Abuja by the NCF’s Public Relations and Business Development Manager, Musa Ehizoje Bodie.
At the last Board Meeting held on August 23, 2025, in Lagos, the NCF Board approved the dates, guidelines, and timelines for the upcoming elections. In line with constitutional provisions, an independent electoral committee has been appointed and approved by the Board. This committee is responsible for overseeing the entire electoral process and announcing the results.
As is customary, the AGM will provide an opportunity for the General Assembly to review and evaluate the Federation’s activities over the past year and to strategize for the year ahead. Following the meeting, elections will be held for the positions of President, Vice President, and Zonal Representatives on the NCF Board.
Ahead of the AGM, elections for the Athletes’ Representative and Technical Representative will be conducted on September 19, 2025, also in Abuja.
In addition, representatives from other constituencies who have already concluded their elections—such as the National Association of Women in Sports (NAWIS) and the Nigeria Association for Physical and Health Education, Recreation, Sports, and Dance (NAPHER-SD)—will form part of the Board and are eligible to vote during the AGM elections.
The NCF looks forward to a successful and transparent election process as it continues to strengthen the governance of cricket in Nigeria.
