Newcastle, Fenerbahçe Scouts Storm Abuja, As SPOCS Scouting Tournament Kick Off Today

Top Football Scouts from Newcastle United Football Club of England, Turkish giant football club Fenerbahçe, and others will storm Nigeria’s capital city for the SPOCS talent scouting tourney.

SPOCS scouting tournament billed for on today’s Friday 24th to 28th of November 2023 will take place inside the Main bowl of the Moshood Abiola stadium where 36 teams across the country will rumble.
SPOCS International, under the auspices of Sacha Empacher, remains one of the very best sports agents in the world which has helped discover players like Liverpool’s star Mohamed Salah, Egypt and Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny, Ghanaian international Baba Rahman, and a host of others.
Speaking ahead of the scouting programme on Thursday in Abuja, the founder and CEO of SPOCS Sascha Empacher expressed that the target is to get special extra players that will excel in Europe.

According to him, Nigeria has an array of talent and this is the reason why we are here to help and bring those talents to take them to Europe to give them a chance and to develop them.
“We are looking for top players, players who have good attributes, and techniques, what we are looking for is special extra, it’s not about being 6 feet tall or huge, what we are looking is players with power, which have will, ambition to be the best. Players with a fighting spirit who want to show up.
“And we here help such person to get the best club in Europe, we made a lot of transfers to Chelsea, Manchester United, and Liverpool we have discovered a lot of top African players like Liverpool’s star Mohamed Salah, Egypt and Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny, Ghanaians international Baba Rahman and host of other and we want to continues that is why we are looking for special extra players.
“We have been in Ogun state Remo Football club, we have been in Bayelsa now we are in Abuja.”

Speaking also, the Convener of the SPOCS scouting tournament in Nigeria, Mr. Gbenga Agbejoye, said the scouting tournament is going to be a rewarding tournament for players, and club owners.

“As we speak we are going to use Moshood Abiola stadium, we have about 36 teams across the country, with 10 games per day 5 games in the morning, 5 matches in the evening, with a duration of 40 minutes.”
He assured that the SPOC scouting will not compromise and are ready to choose the best players while he advised the club owners to do the right thing by selecting the best players.
Some of the club that will be participating includes, Spocs Select, Jobi Sports, Bayelsa Starlet, SIA One Academy, Next Football Star, Rolly FC, Paul E FC, Daniel FC, Carina FA, Alpha FA among others.

AACT 2026: 31 Days to Africa’s Big Sporting Gathering in Abuja

The countdown to the 2026 All Africa Challenge Trophy (AACT) has officially entered the final month, with just 31 days to go before Africa’s leading women’s team golf championship tees off at the IBB International Golf & Country Club in Abuja.
In a statement signed by the AACT 2026Director of Communication Kayode Adeniyi on Friday in Abuja.
Under the theme “Africa Is Coming to Abuja,” the countdown campaign will spotlight the championship, the participating nations, the players, the host venue and the growing development of women’s golf across the continent.
The 2026 AACT, scheduled for November 2–7, will bring together women’s golfing talent from across Africa for six days of continental competition in Nigeria’s capital.
As preparations continue at the IBB International Golf & Country Club, attention is increasingly turning to Abuja, where the championship will provide a platform for African golfers to compete while also showcasing Nigeria’s hospitality and the country’s growing profile as a destination for major sporting events.
The countdown will feature daily stories, interviews, player and country profiles, tournament facts, behind-the-scenes updates and features on the host venue as the championship draws closer.
The campaign will also highlight the role of the Ladies Golf Association of Nigeria (LGAN), the Local Organising Committee and other stakeholders in preparing for the continental championship.
With just 31 days remaining, anticipation is building across the African golfing community as Abuja prepares to welcome the continent’s leading women golfers.
Africa is coming to Abuja.
