Nigeria Teqball Federation gets invitation to World Series in France

The International Federation of Teqball (FITEQ) and the French Teqball Federation have extended invitation to Nigeria Teqball Federation (NIGTEQ) to take part at the 2022 Teqball World Series slated for Paris, France between March 18th and 20th, 2022.

In a letter jointly signed by the President International Federation of Teqball (FITEQ), Gábor Borsányi and President National Federation of Teqball (FNTEQ), Jawad El-Hajri sent to the Nigeria Teqball Federation (NIGTEQ) recently the bodies stated that the event will feature three categories: Men’s, Women’s and Mixed Doubles.

“Dear President,
On behalf of the International Federation of Teqball (FITEQ) and the French Teqball Federation (FNTEQ), it is our pleasure to officially invite your delegation to compete at the 2022 Teqball World Series, to be held from 18-20 March 2022 in Paris, France,” the statement began in part.

“This event will feature three categories: Men’s, Women’s and Mixed Doubles. The competition will be held at the Centre Départemental de Formation et Animation Sportives, which is one of France’s largest multi-purpose indoor sports and entertainment venues.

“We kindly invite the following athletes and team officials to represent their country in the World
Series.

“Kindly note that ongoing guidance will be provided on COVID-19 rules for entry into France and the process for acquiring visas, but this must be managed by your National Federation.

“We therefore urge you to contact and stay in touch with your Embassy in France as early as possible to understand what is required.”

From Streets to Stardom: Unique Futbol Academy Scouting Program Inspires Ibadan’s Young Footballers

Ibadan is buzzing with excitement as the Unique Football Academy Scouting Program kicks off, bringing together top European football clubs and talented young Nigerian players.

The four-day program, which commenced on Monday, features a delegation of four directors from prominent European teams, including two from Kosovo and one from India, led by renowned football agent Diego Martins from Portugal.


The scouting program aims to identify and select outstanding players who will be given opportunities to showcase their skills in Europe.

Successful players will be offered the chance to take their careers to the next level, with the organizers assuring them of opportunities abroad.


According to the Director of the program and founder of Unique Football Academy, Mr. Jelil Oladimeji, this is not the first time the academy has organized such an event.

“This is the 4th edition, and we are proud of the progress and impact we have made so far in terms of exposing our raw talent to the European market,” he said.


The program has already proven successful, with several players from previous editions going on to excel in European leagues. Some notable examples include Haruna Saleh with PAOK in Greece and Praisegod Emersons in Slovakia. 


As the program continues, clubs are gearing up to exhibit their talents, and the future looks bright for Nigeria’s young football stars.
