NNL Announces Winners of February 2025 Monthly ProStar/Sportlight Hub Awards

The Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria National League (NNL), Emmanuel Attah , has unveiled the list of recipients for the February 2025 edition of the prestigious ProStar/NNL/Sportlight Hub Monthly Awards.

The awards, which aim to recognize and encourage excellence across various categories in Nigeria’s second-tier football league, will be presented at a ceremony scheduled for April 15, 2025, at the NNL Secretariat in Abuja by 11 a.m.

Below are the winners across the various categories:

Highest Goal Scorer:
Anthony Ndubuisi of Madiba FC, Lagos, claimed the top scorer award for February following his outstanding performance in front of goal.

Best Behaved Team:
First Bank FC, Lagos, was recognized for exemplary discipline and sportsmanship throughout the month.

Best Referee:
Adekoya Warith from the Lagos Referee Council received accolades for his consistent and fair officiating.

Best Goalkeeper:
Lateef Nurudeen of Igbajo FC, Osun State, was celebrated for his remarkable saves and goalkeeping prowess.

Best Coach:
Uzorho Obinna, head coach of Kun Khalifat FC, Imo State, emerged as the coach of the month for his tactical brilliance and leadership.

Most Valuable Player (MVP):
Austin Ajegbeyi of First Bank FC, Lagos, took home the MVP award for his overall impact and influence on the pitch.

Goal of the Month: Energy Kennedy of Godswill Akpabio United FC, Uyo, earned the goal of the month award for his stunning finish.

Attah congratulated all winners and emphasized the league’s commitment to promoting excellence, discipline, and fair play. He encouraged clubs and players to remain focused as the league progresses.

NPFL Strikes ₦2.14 Billion Exclusive Broadcast and Data Management Deal to Drive Modernization and Expand Visibility

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has sealed a landmark ₦2.14 billion Exclusive Broadcast and Data Management Agreement designed to modernize league operations, enhance transparency, and elevate the league’s global profile.


The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Wednesday at the Continental Hotel in Abuja, with NPFL Chairman, Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye, leading the league’s delegation.


 The agreement formalizes strategic partnerships with Inview Technologies Nigeria Limited, AS Production Hub Limited (ASPH), and Roundup Technologies Limited.


Under the terms of the deal, Inview Technologies Nigeria Limited will serve as a principal partner over a five-year period, investing a total of ₦2 billion, including an ₦800 million upfront payment to the NPFL.


 In addition, Roundup Technologies Limited has entered into a ₦140 million agreement, bringing the combined value of both deals to ₦2.14 billion over five years.


The partnership covers exclusive broadcast, data management, and commercialization rights, all aimed at transforming the NPFL’s digital infrastructure and operational efficiency.


Through this collaboration, the league’s technology partners will deploy cutting-edge systems for data collection, analytics, and digital operations. These innovations are expected to enhance match reporting, performance tracking, player statistics, and club management, while improving fan engagement and ensuring greater transparency across all league activities.


While speaking, Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye hailed the agreement as “a major milestone in the NPFL’s mission to modernize its operations and position Nigerian football among the best-managed leagues globally.”
