NTAC Boss Inaugurates Staff Multipurpose Cooperative Society

The Director-General (D-G) of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC), Dr Yusuf Yakub, on Wednesday inaugurated the agency’s staff multipurpose cooperative to address housing and other challenges.


The inauguration was held at the NTAC Headquarters in Abuja, and saw the instalment of newly elected members of the executive.


The D-G said that the cooperative society would address issues of housing and other welfare needs of the staff members.


He said that the initiative aligned with President Bola Tinubu’s agenda of ensuring that civil servants and Nigerians in general enjoyed incentives that will make life meaningful for all.
“It is through cooperatives of this kind that some of these objectives can be achieved, ” he said.
He said that the corps also had a welfare package for staffs, like the mortgage, where civil servants and other workers can be able to acquire houses through instalmental payments.
The newly elected Chairman of the multipurpose cooperative society, Mr Ogbonna Martin, commended the D-G and the Federal Government for the initiative that would help to meet the needs of staff of the agency.


“I extend my humble gratitude to you all for the privilege, and the honour that you have bestowed on the members of our executive today.


“The executive is starting on a clean slate on what ought to have begun many years ago.
“Our intention is to use our knowledge of staff needs to deliver results for the benefit of us all,’’ he said.

Namibian APRM Delegation Visits AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria on Peer Learning Mission

The Ambassador and Chief Executive Officer of the APRM National Secretariat, Namibia, Ambassador Lineekela Mboti, has led a delegation, including officials from the APRM Continental Secretariat, on a visit to the National Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer of AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria, Hon. Jabiru Salisu Abdullahi, in Abuja.


The visit was aimed at gaining deeper insight into the operational structure of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) in Nigeria, its reporting lines, challenges, and the advantages of integrating the AUDA-NEPAD and APRM structures under a unified system.


Welcoming the delegation, Hon. Jabiru Salisu Abdullahi provided an overview of Nigeria’s implementation framework, highlighting the synergy between AUDA-NEPAD and APRM in advancing governance and development outcomes.


 He commended the Namibian team’s commitment to institutional learning and assured them of AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria’s readiness to provide the necessary technical support and guidance to strengthen APRM operations in Namibia.
