NVBF set to receive FIVB and CAVB in Abuja
																								
												
												
											The President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), Engineer Musa Nimrod has confirmed that the Federation is set to receive the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) and Confederation of Africa Volleyball (CAVB) during the 2022 National Division 1 Volleyball League in Abuja
Nimrod made this disclosed after a close door meeting with the technical official, stakeholders and board members of the Federation.
According to him, FIVB and CAVB will be visiting the Federation in a courtesy visit to ascertain the level of volleyball development.
He said, “The federation is set to receive two governing body, FIVB and CAVB; both will be visiting Nigeria during the 2022 National division 1 League.
The President said the visit of the FIVB and CAVB to Nigeria is due to the grassroot development witnessed in Nigeria during local and international championships.
“They will visit Nigeria volleyball and will spent to five days. The governing bodies will be in Nigeria to check our facilities and development in sports of Volleyball in Nigeria.
“We thank God for the massive development and I am very happy that Nigeria have come back to were it belongs among the top ranked volleyball nations,” he said.
He said that the bodies have given the federation a foreign technical and tactical coach.
“The coach was one time volleyball coach of Cameroon. He will be coming to Nigeria on July 15 to support the Federation to enhance the grassroots development of the sport in the country,” Nimrod added.
The 2022 National Division 1 League will kick off on 13th May, 2022 at the MKO Stadium Abuja.

NVBF seeks continuous partnership with Abia Govt after successful 2025 Nat Div 1 & 2

The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) have expressed profound appreciation to the Government and people of Abia State for their outstanding support and collaboration during the successful hosting of the final phase of the 2025 National Division 1 and 2 Volleyball Leagues.
In a statement signed by Engineer Musa Nimrod, NVBF President, the federation commended Abia State for its warm hospitality and commitment to the development of sports, particularly volleyball.
Nimrod explained that the successful event was a result of the strong partnership between the federation and the state government.
He said, “The Board of Administration of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, on behalf of the entire volleyball community in the country, wishes to express profound gratitude to the Government and people of Abia State for their noble collaboration in organizing the final phase of Division 1 and 2.”
He further highlighted that Abia State is gradually becoming a hub for volleyball in Nigeria.
Nimrod attributed the growth of volleyball to the government’s investment in youth and sports development.
He emphasised the NVBF desire to sustain and strengthen this partnership to further promote volleyball and empower young athletes across the nation.
“The federation remains grateful and looks forward to a more robust and progressive partnership with the Abia State Government in the future.”
