NVBF to introduce ”park volleyball’ in communities nationwide, says Nimrod
																								
												
												
											The newly elected president of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), Musa Nimrod, on Saturday, said the Federation would soon start park Volleyball in communities across the country.
Nimrod stated this in his speech to an inter-state volleyball game organised by Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), at the old parade ground, in Abuja.
He said the Federation planned to start Park volleyball, to enable people have easy access to the court, to play the sport.
“NVBF will start the parks every where, so that people from their community can play the sports and play park volleyball.
“We discovered that getting sand for beach volleyball is a problem, so we want to start park volleyball, to reach  people in their communities.  I pray that we will continue to grow from strength to strength in this great job, ” he said
Nimrod said he had been the Chairman, Kaduna state volleyball association for 18 years.
“What I return to the community is more important to me, I’m not concerned about the title, president, chairman, but what I do is more important, whether government helps or not .
“What God blesses me with as a privileged child, privilege person in this country by profession and the passion for the sport, you can not remove it from me,” he said.
NAN reports that the ISACA-organised volleyball game was between government secondary school, Okposi, in Ebonyi state and government secondary school, Television (GSST), Kaduna, which was won by GSST by 3-1 (25-15, 18-25, 25-20, 25-20).
ISACA is a not-for-profit professional information systems organisation with over 145,000 members in 180 countries; and about 3,000 members in Nigeria. (NAN)

NVBF seeks continuous partnership with Abia Govt after successful 2025 Nat Div 1 & 2

The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) have expressed profound appreciation to the Government and people of Abia State for their outstanding support and collaboration during the successful hosting of the final phase of the 2025 National Division 1 and 2 Volleyball Leagues.
In a statement signed by Engineer Musa Nimrod, NVBF President, the federation commended Abia State for its warm hospitality and commitment to the development of sports, particularly volleyball.
Nimrod explained that the successful event was a result of the strong partnership between the federation and the state government.
He said, “The Board of Administration of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, on behalf of the entire volleyball community in the country, wishes to express profound gratitude to the Government and people of Abia State for their noble collaboration in organizing the final phase of Division 1 and 2.”
He further highlighted that Abia State is gradually becoming a hub for volleyball in Nigeria.
Nimrod attributed the growth of volleyball to the government’s investment in youth and sports development.
He emphasised the NVBF desire to sustain and strengthen this partnership to further promote volleyball and empower young athletes across the nation.
“The federation remains grateful and looks forward to a more robust and progressive partnership with the Abia State Government in the future.”
