Ochei Sets Onicha-Ukwu Ablaze: Jubilant Crowds Hail NDC’s New Direction as Delta North Embraces Liberation!
By Ikechukwu Chukwudi-Abiandu (The Legacydreamz)
The consultation train of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) Delta North Senatorial candidate, Rt. Hon. (Engr.) Victor Onyekachi Ochei Esq FNSE, thundered into Onicha-Uku today to a resounding, electric endorsement.
A massive, jubilant crowd greeted the entourage with inspiring traditional welcoming songs that filled the air with ancestral pride and unbridled hope. True to his trademark vibrant energy, the former Speaker joined the rhythmic song steps, his presence sparking waves of joy and excitement that rippled through every corner of the community.
Addressing the charged gathering, Ochei urged party faithful to shed all fear of the opposition and campaign strictly within the bounds of the law.
He proudly introduced the NDC candidates for the House of Assembly—Dr. Uzoma Valentine Awunor for Aniocha North Constituency 1 and Sir Vincent Ugbelase the candidate for Constituency 2, alongside the House of Representatives candidate, Dame Isioma Theodora Ndah.
Turning to the national stage, he passionately made the case for Mr. Peter Obi’s presidential bid, declaring that Obi’s leadership would touch households and communities nationwide with transformative impact.
Ochei called on the people to liberate Delta North and choose a bold new direction, asserting that his major opponent lacks the pedigree, capacity, and goodwill to elevate the district. He noted that the opponent, as governor for eight years, possessed the power to turn around Delta North yet failed to do so.
The former Speaker thanked community leaders, including the Ogwuluzeme of Onicha-Ukwu Kingdom, Chief Iwebunor Osakwe (Omeifeasoani), and urged residents to stand firmly with the NDC for better governance at all levels.
