Private Partnership can Grows Teqball Sport More-NIGTEQ
																								
												
												
											Nigeria Teqball Federation (NIGTEQ) has called for the participation of the private sector in the newly introduced Teqball game in the country saying that it would go a long way in developing the youth.
The Secretary-General of NIGTEQ, Ndudi Edede, made the appeal on Monday while speaking to newsmen in Abuja after the successful hosting of the maiden edition of the Nigeria Teqball Challenger Series.
He said: “I am happy because it was a realization of the project, it was a template and we actualize it I am excited. We have proven our professionalism, we have proven that we are committed, we proved we are passionate about what we are doing I think at this point we call on the private sector on a partnership to take this game to the next.
He, however, commended Delta, Imo, Kwara, Edo, Plateau state for putting up an impressive performance during the tournament.
“It is a wonderful sport I am impressed with Kwara state they have proven beyond measure. I want to encourage the others states that are not part of this maiden edition to be part of it.
Speaking on the federation’s strive to the grassroots game, the SG said the federation know that every great player come from grassroots saying that Teqball Federation is leaving no stone unturned to ensure the development of the game in the grassroots
“We have a robust plan for grassroots, that is why we distributed tables from across the states and all these tables are put in those state because of grassroots some are in school, some are in recreation center while some are in football clubs to enable people to have access to the game.
“In fact in this championship, we have a boy of 14 years old from Oyo state the youngest participant and he played to the knock-out stage that is grassroots.
“The concentration of plan is grassroots because we know every big player starts from the grassroots.”
He equally said all attention of the federation will now be the forthcoming world championship: “For now, what next is the world championship in November those who are outstanding in this event will represent Nigeria in the world championship.
“We as a Federation will give them all they need to prepare them well so, we are confident that by the time they get to the championship they will make Nigeria proud” he concluded.

NVBF seeks continuous partnership with Abia Govt after successful 2025 Nat Div 1 & 2

The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) have expressed profound appreciation to the Government and people of Abia State for their outstanding support and collaboration during the successful hosting of the final phase of the 2025 National Division 1 and 2 Volleyball Leagues.
In a statement signed by Engineer Musa Nimrod, NVBF President, the federation commended Abia State for its warm hospitality and commitment to the development of sports, particularly volleyball.
Nimrod explained that the successful event was a result of the strong partnership between the federation and the state government.
He said, “The Board of Administration of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, on behalf of the entire volleyball community in the country, wishes to express profound gratitude to the Government and people of Abia State for their noble collaboration in organizing the final phase of Division 1 and 2.”
He further highlighted that Abia State is gradually becoming a hub for volleyball in Nigeria.
Nimrod attributed the growth of volleyball to the government’s investment in youth and sports development.
He emphasised the NVBF desire to sustain and strengthen this partnership to further promote volleyball and empower young athletes across the nation.
“The federation remains grateful and looks forward to a more robust and progressive partnership with the Abia State Government in the future.”
