Productivity: FCC Chairman advocates reward system in MDAs

The Chairman, Federal Character Commission, Dr Muheeba Dankaka, has advocated the deployment of reward system to enhance productivity in service delivery.

Dakaka made the call at award night, organised by the commission in recognition of those have rendered immeasurable service to the commission.

The event attracted personalities in the likes of Ag. Corps Marshall FRSC, Hon. Minister of Transportation, DG, Nigeria Custom Service, the Inspector-General of Police as well as others selected from the different MDAs.

According to her, the fundamentals of the award ceremony is to keep the hope of the nation alive by encouraging institutions that are working day and night to promote the peace and unity amongst its
diverse peoples of which the FCC principle stands for.

“Our awards are for excellence recognition, compliance, co-operation and service. We shall continue to reward any institution promoting our national aspirations.

“And also to reward those who we think have cooperated with us in promoting our constitutional duties as well as staff who have worked tirelessly and with high sense of responsibility in the discharge of their duties.

The FCC boss explained that on her since assumption in office in 2020, she had interacted with various strata of the stakeholders including the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, to the Legislative Arm, the various MDAs.

In addition, Dankaka said she had made contact with the Honourable Commissioners, Management and Staff in the areas of carrying out the mandates of the commission.

” I have also quite reasonably realised that these interactions have broadened my mind and understanding of the complexities of the commission and how stakeholders need to work in synergy to achieve set goals and targets.

“In that case, there should be a reward system that can encourage voluntary compliance with our guiding principle and our staff to enhance productivity.

The appreciation and encouragement should also be extended to our superintending office who are always at hand to listen to our challenges and proffer solutions.

The FCC boss used the medium to express her gratitude to the Senate and House of Representatives, particularly the chairmen of the Federal Character Committees in both chambers.

According to her, they have been a constant guidance, advisers in areas of the commission’s operations.

“We therefore must profoundly thank and appreciate them and show our gratitude through the token presentation of an award and recognition in a night like this. “

“For Ministries, Departments and Agencies, we are encouraged by their level of engagements with the commission and to an extent, the level of compliance with our guidelines and formulae for recruitment and distribution of infrastructures, socio-economic amenities among others.

FAME Foundation Boss, Arabinrin Aderonke Atoyebi Congratulates Onanuga, Oriyomi, Morka on National Honours

The Executive Director of the Female Advocacy, Mentorship and Empowerment (FAME) Foundation and Technical Assistant on Broadcast Media to the Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Arabinrin Aderonke Atoyebi, has congratulated Mr. Bayo Onanuga, Mr. Dapo Oriyomi OON, and Mr. Felix Morka on their recent conferment of National Honours by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

President Tinubu recently conferred the Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) on Mr. Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, and Mr. Felix Morka, National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and founder of the Social and Economic Rights Action Center (SERAC). Mr. Dapo Oriyomi, Publisher of Premium Times, was conferred with the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON).

In her congratulatory message, Arabinrin Aderonke Atoyebi expressed heartfelt joy and admiration:
