His goal restored confidence for Montpellier, but the resurgence was short-lived as Super Eagles winger Moses Simon scored a penalty just 15 minutes later to put Nantes back in front.

The game ended 3-1 in favor of Nantes, with Mostafa Mohamed sealing the victory with a third goal in the 85th minute.

Akor Adams, who completed the full 90 minutes, had 20 touches and managed to find the back of the net, showcasing his striking prowess early in the season.
