Senator Olajide Ipinsagba Launches Poultry Farming Initiative to Boost Prosperity in Ondo North

The Senator representing Ondo North Senatorial District, Olajide Ipinsagba has facilitated a transformative empowerment program designed to create jobs, and improve livelihoods through poultry Farming.


In a statement Signed by Sen,Dr.Olajide Ipinsagba’s SSA Media and Communication to the Prince Adeyinka Ajagunna revealed that, the two-day training with the theme: Poultry Farming for Prosperity, took place at Obayoriade Hotel, Iselu, Owo, Ondo State, and attracted participants from across the district. The program equipped participants with modern poultry farming techniques and provided them with essential resources to start and sustain profitable businesses.


In a bold move to ensure success, Senator Ipinsagba went beyond training by ensuring financial startup grants to participants, removing common barriers faced by new entrepreneurs. 
Speaking at the event, Senator Ipinsagba, represented by one of his legislative Aides, Hon. Joseph Aladetimehin, said the dual approach capacity building combined with financial support was a model for sustainable empowerment.


Senator Ipinsagba maintained that the initiative aligns with his broader vision of bridging the gap between potential and prosperity by promoting vocational skills, boosting agricultural productivity, and empowering women and youths.

 
“With poultry farming recognized as a vital contributor to Nigeria’s GDP, this program positions Ondo North as a hub for agribusiness growth.”


“This is more than training; it’s about creating opportunities, driving self-sufficiency, and ensuring that families can thrive.”


Participants expressed joy and gratitude, noting that the initiative would significantly improve their economic prospects.


Community leaders present at the event commended Senator Ipinsagba for his dedication to grassroots development and sustainable economic growth, describing the program as a lifeline for many households. By fostering entrepreneurship and supporting small-scale farmers, the senator is not only improving individual livelihoods but also stimulating the local economy.

AUDA-NEPAD CEO Highlights Collaboration as Catalyst for Africa’s Economic Competitiveness

The Chief Executive Officer and National Coordinator of AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria, Hon. Jabiru Salisu Abdullahi, has called for stronger public-private partnerships to boost Africa’s global competitiveness.

Speaking at the High-Level Business Forum 2025 organised by the NEPAD Business Group Nigeria in Lagos, Hon. Abdullahi said Africa’s transformation will be driven by enterprise, not aid.

He urged governments to create enabling environments that foster innovation, industrial growth, and sustainable development.

He reaffirmed AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria’s commitment to working with private sector actors and development partners to deliver key initiatives in agriculture, ICT, manufacturing, and renewable energy under the AU Agenda 2063 framework.

The event brought together top business and policy leaders, including representatives from the African Business Roundtable, the Bank of Industry, the Africa Finance Corporation, and the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, among others.
