South West , Oyo lost a foremost Political Leader- Former Minister Sunday Dare Mourns Passing Of Chief Koleoso

Former Minister of youth and sports development, Chief Sunday Dare, has expressed sadness over the death of former Secretary to the Government of Oyo State (SSG), Chief Michael Koleosho .

Chief Koleoso, who served as Secretary to the State Government under the late Governor Lam Adesina’s administration and also served as the National Chairman of the Alliance for Democracy (AD), passed away on Monday after brief illness at the age of 86 years.

In a statement released on Tuesday,Chief Dare described Chief Koleoso as a man of principle and a politician of Character,noting that Nigeria has lost another political gladiator.

“I am deeply saddened by the death of the Chief Michael Koleosho, a former Secretary to the Government of Oyo State and National Chairman of the Alliance for Democracy (AD).

Chief Koleoso is a man of principle and a politician of Character who has left behind an enviable political legacy .

I extend my deepest sympathies to friends,political associates and other members of the bereaved family . May God Almighty comfort them and grant Chief Koleoso peaceful rest”. Chief Dare said.

Namibian APRM Delegation Visits AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria on Peer Learning Mission

The Ambassador and Chief Executive Officer of the APRM National Secretariat, Namibia, Ambassador Lineekela Mboti, has led a delegation, including officials from the APRM Continental Secretariat, on a visit to the National Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer of AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria, Hon. Jabiru Salisu Abdullahi, in Abuja.


The visit was aimed at gaining deeper insight into the operational structure of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) in Nigeria, its reporting lines, challenges, and the advantages of integrating the AUDA-NEPAD and APRM structures under a unified system.


Welcoming the delegation, Hon. Jabiru Salisu Abdullahi provided an overview of Nigeria’s implementation framework, highlighting the synergy between AUDA-NEPAD and APRM in advancing governance and development outcomes.


 He commended the Namibian team’s commitment to institutional learning and assured them of AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria’s readiness to provide the necessary technical support and guidance to strengthen APRM operations in Namibia.
