Water FC Goalkeeper Nathaniel Nwosu Thanks NFF Over Invitation To Super Eagles Camp
Flying Eagles goalkeeper, Nathaniel Nwosu, has thanked the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for extending invitation to him to the camp of senior national team.
Nathaniel who emerged the Best Goalkeeper in the 2022 West African Football Union WAFU B U20 was filled with joy while thanking the federation, coach Salisu Yusuf, Ladan Bosso for being giving the opportunity to show his God-given goalkeeping prowess.
He said, ‘I am very happy to earn my first invitation to Super Eagles at this early stage in my career.
“I want to thank the NFF for the consideration, coach Salisu Yusuf for the opportunity given to me, and Ladan Bosso for his fatherly advise that spurred me on in the WAFU B U20 Competition.
“I wont take the opportunity for granted and want to use it to make Nigerians proud.”
Head Coach of Super Eagles B, Salisu Yusuf invited Nwosu Nathaniel and 34 other players for their clash against Galaxies of Ghana in the 2023 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) tournament. The Super Eagles wil square up with Ghana in the first leg in Accra on Sunday, 28th August while the second leg is scheduled for Moshood Abiola Stadium Abuja on Saturday 3rd September. The winners on aggregate will go on to participate at the 7th African Nations Championship in Algeria in 2023.

Team Nigeria Jets to Cairo for 11th World Para Powerlifting Championships

Excitement is high as Team Nigeria’s para powerlifting contingent departed Nigeria on Tuesday, October 7, for the 11th World Para Powerlifting Championships set to take place in Cairo, Egypt, from October 9 to 18, 2025.
The milestone event marks the first-ever World Championships to be hosted on African soil, symbolizing a new era for the sport on the continent.
The first batch of Team Nigeria athletes left the country on Tuesday amid cheers and well-wishes from officials, fans, and supporters.
The second batch of the contingent is scheduled to depart tomorrow, October 8, from Lagos, completing the full team that will represent the nation at this landmark competition.
Speaking ahead of the departure, officials expressed confidence in the team’s readiness and determination to uphold Nigeria’s longstanding reputation as a force to be reckoned with, in global para powerlifting.
The National Sports Commission (NSC) reaffirmed its full support for the athletes, emphasizing the government’s commitment to promoting inclusivity and excellence in sports.
