Team Nigeria Cyclists Qualify for world championship

Four Female Nigerian Cyclists have qualified for the 111th Edition of  World Track Cycling Championships competition that will hold inside the Jean Stablinski Regional Indoor Velodrome in Roubaix, France from 20-24 October, 2021.


In a Press statement signed by the  Director Press and Public Relations Mohammed Manga revealed that, qualified Cyclists who will wear the green white green jerseys/ kits for the first time at the World Cycling Championships Competition  in Roubaix, France are Grace Ayuba, Tawakalitu OyetayoYekeen, ESE Lovina Ukpeseraye and Mary Sunday Samuel. 


Nigeria’s qualification for the Cycling Competition is a testament to the popularity and commendable  skill of our youths in this particular Sport.

The Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports commends the Cyclists and the leadership of the Cycling Federation of Nigeria, led by Engr. (Chief) Masari Giandomenico and wishes the Team success.


Team Nigeria Cyclists will be participating alongside Egypt with 1 qualified  Cyclist: two African countries joining their counterparts from  other countries across the globe in the Cycling Championships holding  in Roubaix, France in a few days time. 


During the reception organised by the French Ambassador to Nigeria for our Team Nigeria female Cyclists;  Her Excellency Mme  Emmanuelle Blatman, stated that the qualification of the Four Female Nigerian Cyclists is commendable.


Blatman who was represented by the Deputy Ambassador, Mr Olivier Chatelias said that the qualification was a proof of active women participation in the sport.  
She  wished them  podium performances at the competition.


 World Track Cycling Championships Competition that will hold in Roubaix, France is one of the oldest races called the ‘ Paris- Roubaix’ which has taken place every year since 1896.

Toronto FC Canada puts Ademola Kuti on watch list for summer transfer

Former Lobi Star FC striker  Ademola Kuti has been put on the watch list  of Toronto FC of Canada for summer transfer due to his  goal scoring ability in 18 yard box

Kuti started his football  career with Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL)  Lobi Stars Football Club before moving to Al-Fujuirah a top division club in  Dubai, where he continued to showcase his talent. 
Kuti also played in the Indian Super League  Minerals Academy FC and Ghana’s Heart of Oaks   one of Africa’s biggest clubs.

Ademola kuti  has also had spells with several other African teams, AS Sondep football Club,  Niger. 
Currently, he is a free agent, and there is growing interest from a team in Canada called Toronto FC looking to secure his services.
Nicknamed commander-in goal, kuti has worked with Diego Maradona and host of other talented coaches both in Africa and Europe.

The 6ft tall striker is a positive minded person who’s presence in any team always add glamour and competitiveness therefore giving recognition to the team.
