Versatile Midfielder, Charles Eyes Flying Eagles or Super Eagles call-up
The fast-rising Nigeria football star Ribannu Charles is keen to wear the green and white shirt for the U-23 National team or the Super Eagles.
The Defensive midfielder, Charles has made a big impression at Ethiopian top league side Arbaminch FC.
The 2022/2023 Season Ribannu was voted player of the year when he was with Bahirdar FC and was instrumental for the club success he is relishing the chance to be called upon for the U23 national team or the eagles.
Born in 2002 he plays as a defensive midfielder and can play any position at the middle of the park, is determined to showcase his talents on the international scene.
Ribannu plays for Ethiopian top league side Arbaminch FC in the elite division of the league( Ethiopian Premier League).
He started his football career with Jihasu football academy in Nigeria before moving to Ethiopia.
While speaking, the versatile midfielder expressed that: “if he’s called up for the flying eagles he will leave no stone unturned to contribute and add more value to the team.
According to him I am proud to be Nigerian and I would love to play for Nigeria,”
However, It’s now left for the NFF to extend invitation to him and see what he can do.

From Streets to Stardom: Unique Futbol Academy Scouting Program Inspires Ibadan’s Young Footballers
Ibadan is buzzing with excitement as the Unique Football Academy Scouting Program kicks off, bringing together top European football clubs and talented young Nigerian players.
The four-day program, which commenced on Monday, features a delegation of four directors from prominent European teams, including two from Kosovo and one from India, led by renowned football agent Diego Martins from Portugal.
The scouting program aims to identify and select outstanding players who will be given opportunities to showcase their skills in Europe.
Successful players will be offered the chance to take their careers to the next level, with the organizers assuring them of opportunities abroad.
According to the Director of the program and founder of Unique Football Academy, Mr. Jelil Oladimeji, this is not the first time the academy has organized such an event.
“This is the 4th edition, and we are proud of the progress and impact we have made so far in terms of exposing our raw talent to the European market,” he said.
The program has already proven successful, with several players from previous editions going on to excel in European leagues. Some notable examples include Haruna Saleh with PAOK in Greece and Praisegod Emersons in Slovakia.
As the program continues, clubs are gearing up to exhibit their talents, and the future looks bright for Nigeria’s young football stars.
