We Need More Competitions To Prepare Future Gymnasts-TIG

The founder of Tony International Gymnastics (TIG) Anthony Asuquo said the club will organize more competitions to prepare gymnasts for future encounters.

TIG is in collaboration with French Embassy organizing the maiden edition ‘Gymnastics/Ballet talents hunt’ competition for ages 3 to 12 years at the French International School in Abuja.

According to him, we have achieved the aim of organizing the competition.

“We have children from three to 12 that participated in the championship.

“We have discovered many talents from different levels, we have from level one to sixth levels for today’s competition, from the beginners to level six, and I think we got a lot of gymnasts.

“We saw some of the gymnasts that are very good in the school and also some that are doing it in the schools that we need to work on to ensure that they become perfect.

“We take them from the schools and we now train them professionally because we have professional standards routine here.

“Our levels system is been compared to the level system all over the world.

“This is our second program for this year, we are going to organize another one in June.

“In July and we will go to South Africa, then we are back to have another big championship again.”

Ibadan is buzzing with excitement as the Unique Football Academy Scouting Program kicks off, bringing together top European football clubs and talented young Nigerian players.

The four-day program, which commenced on Monday, features a delegation of four directors from prominent European teams, including two from Kosovo and one from India, led by renowned football agent Diego Martins from Portugal.

The scouting program aims to identify and select outstanding players who will be given opportunities to showcase their skills in Europe.

Successful players will be offered the chance to take their careers to the next level, with the organizers assuring them of opportunities abroad.

According to the Director of the program and founder of Unique Football Academy, Mr. Jelil Oladimeji, this is not the first time the academy has organized such an event.

“This is the 4th edition, and we are proud of the progress and impact we have made so far in terms of exposing our raw talent to the European market,” he said.

The program has already proven successful, with several players from previous editions going on to excel in European leagues. Some notable examples include Haruna Saleh with PAOK in Greece and Praisegod Emersons in Slovakia.

As the program continues, clubs are gearing up to exhibit their talents, and the future looks bright for Nigeria’s young football stars.
