We Petitioned SULE AUDU ALHAJI, Not SULE AUDU ADAMU-Nasarawa PDP

The Nasarawa state chapter of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, had cried out loud to the Governorship Election Petition sitting in Lafia that it had no business with Sule Audu Adamu but Sule Audu Alhaji whom it had petitioned.

It stated this just before the Nasarawa State governorship petition tribunal had adjourned it’s sitting to the 14th, of September 2023 for the adoption of final written addresses by both parties.

The tribunal’s sitting for hearing of evidence came to a conclusion last Wednesday, the 30th day of August, 2023 with the 3rd Respondent closing their case after calling a single witness who was subpoenaed to only produce documents.

The APC failed to give any evidence on the documents as they merely produced and dumped the documents on the tribunal.

Eyewitness gathered from the tribunal that the petitioners, the PDP governorship candidate, Dr David Emmanuel Ombugadu and his party, the PDP are challenging the 3rd and the 1st respondents (Audu Sule Alhaji and his party, the APC) for having an incompetent reply to the petition as it was brought to the attention of the tribunal that both 1st and 3rd respondents, INEC and APC respectively had introduced a strange party to the proceeding which they named Sule Audu ADAMU instead of Sulr Audu ALHAJI as recognized by all INEC documents and the petition as filed by the petitioners.

The 3rd Respondent has filed a schedule to call 10 witnesses but in what seems to be a shocker due to the realization of their fatal and incurable mistake of the misnomer in their parties’ names, hurriedly abandoned their case without calling a single witness apart from the INEC witness who only dumped disputable documents on the tribunal.

In the end, the Respondents did not call a single witness in areas they alleged overvoting, nor did they satisfy the requirement of establishing overvoting as required by law which includes the mandatory presentation of Forms EC8A, Voters Registers, BVAS Machines, and Screenshots from the areas of over voting. The Respondents were blinded in that regard as their allegation wears the garment of suspicion and was bound to woefully fail.

Recall that the Respondents tendered some strange documents which are not the same with documents from the IREV and not in agreement with the duplicate copies given by INEC to all parties at the end of the election which the Petitioners tendered to the tribunal. It is hoped that these questionable documents shall be properly scrutinized and its manufacturers brought to book.

Having seen the clear handwriting on the wall, Sule has mandated some politicized traditional Chiefs to meet with the Vice President and other persons with a view of influencing the tribunal.

The 3rd Respondent closed its case by tendering its last document marked as exhibit RW “419”. It is our prayer that the tribunal will overcome any 419 documents and antics!

PDP Chieftain Calls for Removal of Dr. Emma Agbo as DG of PDP Governors’ Forum

Benue State, Nigeria – Mr. Sam Obeya, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from Benue State, has called for the immediate removal of Dr. Emma Agbo as the Director-General of the PDP Governors’ Forum.

This call comes on the heels of the aborted Congress in Benue State, which was marred by litigation and controversy. Mr. Obeya alleges that Dr. Agbo played a significant role in the botched Congress and demands his removal to ensure the party’s unity and progress.

“The actions of Dr. Agbo have caused irreparable damage to our party in Benue State,” Mr. Obeya stated. “His removal is necessary to prevent further divisions and ensure that our party remains strong and united.”

Mr. Obeya expressed concern that Dr. Agbo may become a tool to serve the personal interests of Governor Bala Mohammed, just like his predecessor, Hon. Cid Madugbuna, who was seen as a stooge of former Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State.

“The PDP cannot afford to have a Director General who serves only the interests of one governor,” Obeya said. “We need leadership that prioritizes the unity and progress of the party above personal interests.”

Obeya called on party leaders to take action to ensure that the PDP Governors’ Forum remains independent and serves the interests of the party as a whole, rather than being used to promote personal agendas.
