Without League, Football Will Not Develop-FCT FA Chairman

Chairman of Federal Capital Territory Football Association Alhaji Murktar Mohammed has revealed that an improve league is the backbone of the football development anywhere in the world.

He stated this at weekend in Abuja shortly after a league match between Basic Maracana and Josh FC at the Area 3 pitch in FCT where Basic Maracana defeated  Josh FC  3-1 in a titillating encounter.

Speaking shortly after the match, FCT FA boss expressed “It’s a great feeling; importantly this is what football is all about at the end of the day, whatever we do if there is no league being played football is not being developed.

“And I think this the backbone; the most important thing is to ensure that the league is played and played in a proper way.

“The stakeholders are involved to make it great experiences, I am very delighted and it’s a big achievement”

Giving hint the on the plan for any players that will be discover at the end of the league Mohammed disclosed “My job is to unearthed talents develop them and push them to achieve their dreams, we already have a technical committee that scouts players and I were informed that they have seen a lot of upcoming talent so, we have a plan on that

 

“We have a lot of improve scouting event coming up in Abuja, we encourage it, we gave them facilities to do that. So, whatever we have, to encourage talents we shall do them that is a prime objective.

“Our focus is to play the league in the proper way we have set up 14 committees from FCT which we will inaugurate next week, all they have different responsibilities.

“Of course, you know the league had suffered many years of lack of sponsors, we are in touch with some sponsors, we have improved on some physical infrastructure here since we assume.

“You are going to see new improvement on the player’s dug-out, from the stand, there will be a lot of changes before the league come to an end.

When asked if the prize will be given to winners He replied: “Yes, there will be prize money at the end of the league.”
