Magajii Vs Tukur: APC’s Counsel Resorts To Fate As Appeal Court Reserves Judgment

The counsel of All Progressive Congress APC Barr. Demian Dodo (SAN), has said that the party would accept the outcome of the judgment of the Court of Appeal inrespect of a lingering Preelection matter between Barr. Labaran Shaibu Magajii vs Architect Shehu Tukur for Nasarawa West Senatorial zone of Nasarawa State in good faith for the interest of the party to forge ahead.

Dodo made the assertion while briefing newsmen immediately after the last hearing before the judgment in the court on Friday

According to him, the ruling party was not happy with the earlier judgment of the federal high court seating in Lafia which ordered the party to re conduct a fresh primary election between the said aspirants,prompted them to proceeded to Court of Appeal.

“The APC was not happy with the decision by the federal court, Lafia for quite a number of good reasons and have decided to come to the court of Appeal and inviting the court to set aside that decision on the basis reasons contained in the notice of appeal and the appellant brief of argument.

“But if the the Court of Appeal does not agree then it means that, that decision of the federal high court, Lafia would be affirmed. So,our faith is now in the hands of God,he stressed.

On his part the counsel to Barr Labaran Shaibu Magajii Barr. Umar Gaii Ahmed said,” We adopt all our briefs and the brief we filled. One filled by the party itself APC and the second was filled by Architect Shehu Tukur. All the appeals were heard and the judgment is been reserved.

AljazirahNigeria, revealed that the said hearings which judgment was reserved were presided by the three Honourable Justices of the  court includes Justice Muhammed Danjuma, Justice Biobele Abraham Georgewill and Ibrahim Jauro.
