FCT FA Rolls Plan For Football Dev’t In Nigeria’s Capital City
…Promise to bring a dividend of Game to residents

The Chairman of the Federal Capital Territory FCT Football Association Alhaji Mourtkar, Adam Mohammed has officially unveiled plans that would no doubt bring the dividend of football to all residents of Nigeria’s capital city.
Mourtkar unfurled the program after a courtesy visit to the FCT Sports Director Mrs. Dilichukwu Onyedinma in her office to intimate her about the plans and programmes that will bring growth and development to the round leather game in FCT.
Disturbed by the level of football development in the city, he expressed that: “as a board, we had discussed how we are going to bring the dividend of football to FCT resident; we are ready to kick the ground running.
“We are ready to kick the ground running, and as time goes on, there will be a lot of programmes coming up. A principal cup is a yearly event that involved all school in the FCT will be coming up very soon and also the National U-15 program will take place in Ilorin
“We intend to give each and every area councils equal opportunity to participate in all those events and we going to have a pre-National event here in FCT so, that we can look at bundles of talent and prepare them for bigger events.”
Speaking on the decay facilities in Area 3 and Area 10 playing ground, he said: “the work had commenced to making the pitch playing ground befitting, we have commence on the improvement of access and better condition of the pitch.
“Not only that, the improvement of our coaches, referees, players and all the stakeholders is our uttermost concern.
“We are open to suggestions, advises, innovations that will make football winner at the end of the day.”
In her remark, FCT Sports Director Mrs. Onyedima applauded the outcome of the successful election and charged the newly inaugurated board to start work immediately while she pledged the support of FCTA to the new executive to enable them to succeed.
“Let talk to you as executives to always support your chairman in developing football. Don’t try and drag him down, support him to make football great.”Onyedima stated.
It will be recalled that Mouktar on 20th June defeated incumbent FA Chairman, Talle Musa by 12 to 4 votes to emerged as chairman.
