ANA FCT Chapter honour Ahmed Maidawa, as Arojah group thrills guests

The need to give  room for playwright among the Nigerian took center stage on Thursday in Abuja when the Association of Nigeria Authors ANA honour one of its member Ahmed Maiwada.

ANA commenced the  long weekend on Thursday July 11th with a Special Reading Session by the Association of Nigerian Authors (Ana Abuja) as they played host to Ahmed Maiwada in staged reading of his play in progress titled: SEEMA.

A staged reading of a play in progress writing by Ahmed Maiwada ESQ titled “Seema” is a 70% playwright and 30% drama which based on what is happening in the education system in Nigeria where every stakeholder failed their responsibility toward the provision of better education for the system.

One of the highlights of the point was when the writer himself thrilled the guests with the special reading session as the crowd was applauded him.

Also, a 12 years old Lois Ayomide Chatta reading from her book homelessathome  at the Special Reading Session in Honour of Ahmed Maiwada

After which Arojah concept took center stage to the excitement of the people through their excellent, well-articulated, comic relief that makes people laugh and enjoy their evening.

A well written play centercentered on the state of education, the challenges of the sector.

Despite the challenges, some student still strives in the environment that is not suitable for the education sector.

The climax of the event was when Ahmed Maiwada ESQ declared his intention to run for the Association of Nigerian Authors ANA presidency.

He said the whole essence of his intention to become ANA President is to advance the cause of Nigerian writers, and writing at large.

The former ANA National Legal Adviser expressed that improves reading habit among the young Nigerian is the concern of ANA.
