The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdulahi Ganduje, has assured Nigerians that President Bola Tinubu has the capacity to reform the nation’s economy and governance.

He gave assurance while addressing the South West Agenda for Asiwaju (SWAGA) led by Sen. Dayo Adeyeye paid him a courtesy visit at the national secretariat of the party in Abuja.

His words: “Lagos is a great state, not only in Nigeria but in Africa. So we want a replica, we want a mirror image of that kind of sustainability for Nigeria.

“And we believe Asiwaju is equal to the task, he will reform our system, reform the system of governance, reform the institutions, reform the economy and all other social issues that will take Nigeria to the next level.”

Ganduje commended SWAGA for the role it played in ensuring that the Tinubu Presidency became a reality.

“If you want to start a journey you must start with preparedness, and I think you started this journey with preparedness because you’re committed, you have common ideas leading to a kind of philosophy or a kind of ideology to achieve an objective.

“I think that is a very good starting point, because once you start something, you must have an objective, you must have a target, a timeframe and how to do it, and must know you are committed you must do it.”

“When you said you formed this association, this group, not to your knowledge, some of us started it in the heart even before explaining it to others to know, because when you like something when you love something, it starts from the heart.

“Sometimes you even suffer because people don’t understand you. But we believe our principal is the right principal, he is the man that we have been yearning to mount the leadership of this country and we have succeeded in doing that.

Ganduje noted that Lagos State has a high degree of sustainability, adding that the high degree of sustainability was not because Tinubu has been the governor for over 20 years in Lagos, but rather he developed institutions, and laid the foundation for sustainability for Lagos.

The chairman stressed that they believed Tinubu would leave a big mark of change in Nigeria.

Earlier, Adeyeye congratulated Ganduje and the National Secretary of the party, Senator Ajibola Bashir for their emergence and pledged their support to the new leaders.

Benue State, Nigeria – Mr. Sam Obeya, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from Benue State, has called for the immediate removal of Dr. Emma Agbo as the Director-General of the PDP Governors’ Forum.

This call comes on the heels of the aborted Congress in Benue State, which was marred by litigation and controversy. Mr. Obeya alleges that Dr. Agbo played a significant role in the botched Congress and demands his removal to ensure the party’s unity and progress.

“The actions of Dr. Agbo have caused irreparable damage to our party in Benue State,” Mr. Obeya stated. “His removal is necessary to prevent further divisions and ensure that our party remains strong and united.”

Mr. Obeya expressed concern that Dr. Agbo may become a tool to serve the personal interests of Governor Bala Mohammed, just like his predecessor, Hon. Cid Madugbuna, who was seen as a stooge of former Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State.

“The PDP cannot afford to have a Director General who serves only the interests of one governor,” Obeya said. “We need leadership that prioritizes the unity and progress of the party above personal interests.”

Obeya called on party leaders to take action to ensure that the PDP Governors’ Forum remains independent and serves the interests of the party as a whole, rather than being used to promote personal agendas.
