COVID-19: Sports Ministers Distributes Relief Packs to Five LGAs in Oyo State

The Minister of Youth and Sports development Sunday Dare on Wednesday began the distribution of relief packs to citizens of Oyo state through the local local government areas in Ibadan and parts of Oyo. Over 4,000 relief packs where distributed to residents on a non partisan basis. The packs contained semonvita, Indomie noddles and vitamin C drink packs.

Under the Support Oyo Campaign, SOC initiative conceived by the Minister the relief packs will be on a continuing basis during this period. Earlier, similar distribution had taken place in Ogbomoso, ibadan and Awe where sanitizers, semonvita and salt were given out.

In an effort to encourage Oyo idigenes to abide by the government directive to stay at home to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus, the Minister of Youth and Sports Development Mr. Sunday Dare on Wednesday began the distribution of relief packs in some Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Ibadan and other parts of Oyo state. 5000 relief packs were distributed to residents on a non partisan basis. The packs contained semovita, noodles and vitamin C drink packs among other items.

Under the Support of Oyo Campaign, (SOC) initiative conceived by the Minister, the relief packs will distributed from time to time during this period. Earlier, similar distributions were made in Ogbomoso, Ibadan and Awe where hand sanitizer, semovita and salt were given out.

Agents were seen going from one house to another to distribute the relief packs in different LGAs in the state.

In reactions, some of the beneficiaries appreciated the kind gesture of the Minister and urged other well meaning people in society to emulate him.
