Ezumezu Isinweke Summit Holds on Saturday… Professor Sidney Osuji Appears As Guest

The quarterly virtual summit of Ezumezu Isinweke Elite sociocultural Group of Ihitte/Uboma holds this weekend, with Professor Sidney Osuji of the Faculty of Education, National Open University Abuja as Guest Speaker.


The erudite Professor who is the Dean of NOUN Faculty of Education will be speaking on the ” Structure Of Education In Ihitte/Uboma: Current Trends And Resolutions. The summit which will take place on Ezumezu virtual platform on Saturday 25 September, begins by 7pm.


Prof Sidney Osuji who was born on July 18,1958; at Umuihi-Ihitte Uboma attended Madonna High School, Ihitte, Institute of Management and Technology Enugu, ColIege of Preceptore Essex United Kingdom, University of Calabar, Calabar, Abia State University Uturu, and Indira Gandhi National Open University India.


He worked as a Technical Teacher, Federal Government College Okigwe, (1983-90); Education Officer, Federal Government College Okigwe, (1991-94); Exam. Officer, F.G.C. Okigwe, 1992- 2003. He worked as a Part- Time Lecturer, Abia State Univereity, Uturu, 1995-03; Senior Boarding House Master, Federal Government College, Okigwe, 2001-03; Head of Department of Technology, Federal Government College, Okigwe,2002-03; Course Coordinator, School of Education National Open University, Lagos, among others.

President Tinubu Decries Violence In Rivers, Directs Police To Provide Security To LGA Offices

President Bola Tinubu has called on Governor Siminalayi Fubara, political leaders and their supporters in Rivers State to exercise restraint and uphold the rule of law.

In response to recent tensions following last Saturday’s local government council election, the President expressed deep concern over reports of arson and explosions in the state.

He urged all political actors to de-escalate the situation and discourage their supporters from engaging in violence or destructive actions.

President Tinubu directed the police to restore and maintain peace, law, and order immediately.

While instructing law enforcement agencies to bring the situation under control, he emphasised the need to ensure the security of public institutions.

President Tinubu said government facilities built with public funds must be safeguarded from vandalism.

He stressed that self-help has no place in a democratic system, especially after 25 years of continuous democracy.

According to President Tinubu, the judiciary can settle all political disputes, and the outcome of this election should be no exception.
