My Job Is To Support Initiatives That Will Grow Football In FCT-Mouktar

The Federal Capital Territory Football Association, FCT Football Association  Chairman, Mohammed Adam Mouktar has vowed that the FCT football governing body will support and encourage any initiatives that will bring about growth and development of football in the Nation’s Capital City and its environs

Mouktar stated this while addressing Journalists on Tuesday, in Abuja shortly after the press conference of 60 Goals Soccer Stars Project a grassroots project aimed at discovering and promoting young talented football stars in the country.

According to him, my job is to support any initiatives that will bring about the growth and development of football in the FCT,

The Ned Nwoko Foundation came to me and show me the vision and mission and what they want to achieve, it’s a global project they want to expand and they have decided to do hosting and camping in FCT and we have decided to support it, because it encourages development of football grassroots development by selected the number of player to camp here that is why I am here to support the project and give it some energy.”

He, however, charged the player to be the focus and determined to add that determination remains the only key to their success.

“With player selection its always different, the way you see a player another person see it differently, the most important thing is that the initiative remains a platform that gives hope, a platform that creates job for the youth and it give them aspiration that they could find a way to develop their carrier and what we want from them is to develop their carrier in a right way and we will continue supporting it.

“Our role as a football governing the body in FCT is to supervise and ensure that such a project is done in the proper way that will positively affect the lives of people in Nigeria and that is why I am here to give the necessary backing that requires from us.”
