Nasarawa: Keffi LGC Chairman Charges Appointees To Consider Public Interest Above Selves

Political office holders in Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State have been tasked to always think of what they will do for the area and its People not what the local government can do for them just as been postulated by the 35th president of the United States of America John F Kennedy 1961.

The executive Chairman of Keffi Local Government Council Hon. Mohammed Baba Shehu gave the tasked during the swearing ceremony of Secretary to the council and other apponittees at the council Secretariat on Tuesday.

According to him, having known the appointtees as men with track records and unblemished reputation he has every believe and conviction that they will bring their wealth of experiences to bear in the discharge of their social responsibilities in order to consolidate on the achievements showcased and celebrated during his 100 days in office at the beginning of the year.

Based on that the chairman stated that they want to make it a point of duty to remind them that in every organised social formation, Community or society requires leadership with purpose that will help facilitate the process of organising, planning, coordinating and identifying the needs of the members as well as translating these needs into task accomplishment in order to achieve the Organizations goals and objectives.

” On this note , while wishing you success during your stewardship in office,I charge you to live above board in order to achieve the desire dream of a better Keffi Local Government Area, bearing in mind that to whom much is given much is equally expected” he stressed.

Responding on their behalf, the newly sworn in secretary to the council Alhaji Mohammed Adamu thanked the chairman for finding them worthy for such honour and assured their determinations to always be loyal,honest and dedicated to duty in order to ensure the success of the administration.

Our correspondent revealed that other appointtees sworn in alongside the secretary, includes Danladi Rabiu Maikasuwa as Chief of Staff,Malam Lawal Ramalan Maizabo as Special Assistant on Emergency and Relief Management,Tanimu Mohmmed as Senior Special Assistant on Special Duties as well as Musa Sidi as Clerk of the Keffi Legislative Council.
