Nimrod Donates 111 Balls And 24 Nets To State Associations

The President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Engineer Musa Nimrod has donated 111 balls and 24 nets to 24 States Volleyball Association in Nigeria.

Nimrod made the donation at the final of the women’s volleyball event at the 2020 National Sports Festival in Benin City, Edo state.

He said the balls and net are meant for volleyball players who do not have access to equipment in their various states.

Nimrod told the 24 Director of Sports in the country to ensure the balls is utilized by the end users.

He said, “I am donating a total of 111 balls and 24 nets to 24 states including the FCT. The North East and North West are not captured because I learnt they made their own arrangements.

“These balls are not for decoration in the various offices, they are meant for players to play on the court in order to have access to quality facilities. I am optimistic that the various directors will utilize the equipment because the players will represent their states in subsequent competitions”.

Receiving the balls on behalf of the Acting Chairman of Chairmen, Kaduna state director of sports, Yakub Ibrahim commended the President of NVBF, Engineer Musa Nimrod for his contributions to the development of volleyball in the country.

Ibrahim said the various directors of sports will ensure the players in their respective states use the ball for training.

Integrity Group Meets Renaissance Administrator, Dr Mohammed Sanusi

The Integrity Group otherwise known as Sport Integrity Foundation on Friday met the General Secretary of Nigeria Football Federation, Dr Mohammed Sanusi, to thank and congratulate him on his re-appointment as the GS NFF.

According to the communication department of the NFF, Dr Sanusi’s tenure as General Secretary was renewed for another 3-years by the board of the federation. This came just a few days after Dr Sanusi had delivered the Keynote lecture at the first Integrity Symposium held by the Integrity Group in Abuja

The above prompted the group to pay a courtesy visit to the NFF General Secretary, to congratulate and to thank him for delivering a thought provoking paper at their Symposium on 6th of December.

The Group described Dr Sanusi as the ‘Renaissance Administrator’ for his many innovative initiatives that has today seen the Nigeria Football Federation become the leading football federation not just in Africa but also in the world.

Dr Mohammed Sanusi appreciated the gesture from the Integrity Group and promised to do more to contribute to the global development of football while promising to always make himself available when called upon for his intellectual assistance.

The Integrity Group entourage comprised of Comrade Abiola Shodiya, Comrade Odion Musa and Comrade Godwin Dele. Others are, Comrade Oechi Madu, Comrade Georgina Bode, Comrade Franklyn Umoh and Comrade Samuel Akpan.
