Northern Part Of Nigeria Is Becoming Liability- Hon. Adamu

Outgoing House of Representatives Member who represented Shiroro/Rafi/Munya constituency of Niger State, in the 8th Assembly, Hon Abubarkar Chika Adamu has revealed that Northern part of the country is gradually becoming liability to the Nigeria as a nation urging incoming 9th Assembly to urgently address the issues to move the country forward.

He stated this on Thursday in Abuja at the valedictory service for the 8th Assembly held in the Green chamber, National Assembly complex.

A former lecturer who thanked all Nigerian for giving him the opportunity to serve urged all Nigerian to be steadfast and live in harmony for the growth of Nigeria.

According to him, I want to speak on the Northern part of the country, I want to also appealed to all the governors in the north, unfortunately I am from the north but I need to say that northern part of the country is becoming liability to this nation.

“The insecurity is on the high side, poverty is enormous, education is nothing to write home about and we cannot folded our hands and be looking

“I want to equally appeal to 9th assembly to immediately rise to the occasion for the growth and development of Nigeria.”

On the eve of the closing ceremony alone, Ghana clinched eight gold medals, winning the ultimate prize in women’s hockey, 200m men’s athletics event, high jump, men’s football event, and four boxing gold medals in boxing. All in one night.

Ghana also made history by becoming the first country to win god in both men’s and women’s football events at the Games.

The closing ceremony of the Games saw star performances from star acts such as Stonebwoy, Stanley Enow, Wiyaala, Innoss’B, amongst others.

As Ghana continues its upward trajectory in the realm of sports, the nation stands poised to achieve even greater milestones under the visionary leadership of President Nana Akufo-Addo and Sports minister, Mustapha Ussif.
