NYSC Director, Mr Omotade Bags Award Of Excellence From NANS

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has conferred an Award of Excellence on the NYSC Director of Corps Welfare and Health Services, Mr Omotade Ayodele Folorunso Benjamin for his diligence, forthrightness and capacity to uphold youth mentorship for national development.
During the conferment, the executives of the association drawn from the six geopolitical zones of the country and led by the Chairman, Zonal Coordinator of NANS Forum, Comrade Anzaku Shedrack, said when the nominations were submitted to NANS, nominees’ contributions were subjected to rigorous screening in many stages.
He added that at every stage, Omotade’s name topped the list, while the final selection was made easier as a result of enviable records of his contributions to youth development especially in the last eight years of his career from when he was appointed as NYSC Delta State Coordinator.
“We have followed a trajectory of your public service career and found you to be a man of good integrity and hardwork. You have done well for youths and our country and we believe you will continue to do well”, Comrade Anzaku said.
In his response, Mr Omotade appreciated the National Students body for finding him worthy of the recognition.
He promised to redouble his efforts in contributing more to youth development as he dedicated the award to God, all Nigerian youths, women and all staff of the NYSC Scheme nationwide who are working tirelessly as a team to mentor Corps Members.
Present during the conferment were NYSC Corps Welfare and Corps Discipline & Reward Officers from the 36 State Secretariats including the FCT, who were in Abuja for a two-day intensive in-house capacity building training programme organized by the Corps Welfare and Health Services Department of the NYSC.
