NYSC Invalidates Certificates of 101 UNICAL Graduates Over Fraudulent Mobilization

National Youth Service Corps NYSC on Monday withdrawn Certificates of National Service from 101 persons over the fraudulent in their mobilization process.


In a press statement issued in Abuja by the Director of Press and Public Relation Officer of the Scheme, Mr Eddy Megwa reveal that, affected persons were fraudulently mobilized from University of Calabar for National Service during the 2021, 2022 and 2023 NYSC Service Years.

 
Acxording to the statement, This is to inform members of the public that the underlisted Ninety-Nine (99) persons and two (2) others on exemption were fraudulently mobilized by the University of Calabar for National Service during the 2021, 2022 and 2023 NYSC Service Years.

 
“Management of National Youth Service Corps hereby restate its strong commitment to ensuring that unqualified locally and foreign-trained Nigerian youths, especially those purported to have graduated from unaccredited universities are not recognized, while only qualified persons are issued with NYSC Certificates of National Service.


“Arising from the above, the Certificates of National Service of the underlisted persons have been invalidated forthwith by the NYSC Management.


“Members of the public, especially Corps Employers, Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), Corporate and Religious Organisations, Multi-National Companies, Corps Producing Institutions and other critical stakeholders of NYSC are to take note of this advertorial for prompt action.


“In addition, members of the public are also enjoined to confirm from NYSC National Directorate Headquarters in Abuja, the authenticity of Certificates of National Service, Exemption and Exclusion Letters being presented for any purpose.”

Widows and disadvantaged women residents in the Kubwa Community of the FCT in Abuja had reasons to smile despite the hardship in the Country, as Smile Attracts Smiles Foundation distributed food items and wrappers to them. 

The event, which took place on the in Kubwa as part of foundation’s usual habit to celebrate Christmas with needy especially widows, caught the attention of the residents of the community.

Owner of the foundation Bukola Adewumi who was represented at the occasion of distribution of the items expressed that, At Smile Attracts Smiles Foundation, we know that the journey of widowhood is not easy. 

According to her, the challenges can feel overwhelming, and sometimes, the burden may seem unbearable. But let me assure you, you are not alone. We are here to walk this journey with you, hand in hand, heart to heart.
