Paul E U-17 Cup: Jazzy Stars Feeders Bows To Paul E Academy 2-1

Paul E Academy star of Abuja on Friday came from a goal down to defeat Jazzy star of Jos 2-1 at the opening match of the 2023 edition of the Paul E U-17 Cup in the Federal Capital Territory.
The much-awaited grassroots event starts amid the excitement and exciting inside the old parade ground Area 10 in Abuja.
The opening witnessed a lot of skills from the two teams but Prince Gobum scored the first of the tournament in the 25 minutes to take the lead in the first half of the game.
However, the determined Paul E Academy boys came smoking in the second of the game, and the effort pay as Atusi Martins got an equalizer for the Abuja-based team Paul E Acadamy to make it. 1-1
Paul E Academy star of Abuja did not stop pressing their opponent until Chibueze Maxwell scored from the sports to put them in a 2-1 victory.
Jazzy Stars Feeders of Jos woke up from their slumber but all their effort to equalize was curtailed by the excellent defends from Paul E Academy as the game ended 2-1.
Meanwhile, 17 teams drawn from the six geo-political zones are taking part in the 8 days tournament.

“This award gives me hope and motivation to do more. It’s a source of inspiration for me and my family, and I believe it will encourage me further in sports reporting and sports development in Nigeria,” he stated.
Salifu highlighted that this recognition serves as a morale boost following decades of hard work and impactful contributions within Nigeria’s sports community and beyond.
The SWAN Diamond Jubilee Celebration attracted prominent figures from sports administration, the media, and government sectors to celebrate individuals and organisations whose efforts have significantly advanced sports development and journalism in Nigeria.
