Ramat cup: Goal feast in Kano..as Oyo sends Ekiti packing 8-0

It was a goal feast in Kano on Monday at the ongoing Ramat cup as 35 goals were recorded on the second day of the tourney.
Oyo state recorded the highest score as the team humiliated Ekiti state 8-0 just as Kano state outplayed Zamfara state 4-0, FCT was 1-4 losers against Sokoto state, , Bauchi humbled Lagos 7-0, Kebbi and Osun ended 3-1.

Kwara recorded the second victory of the tournament with a  3-2 scoreline against Kaduna while River and Ogun played out a 1-1 draw while Ogun was 2-0 victors against Zamfara in their second engagement of the day. Nasarawa state also got a 1-1 draw against Gombe.
Meanwhile Kano, Kwara, and Oyo states have qualified to the quarter final stage  of the competition scheduled for Wednesday.
In Tuesday’s matches, Gombe  and Kwara will battle for honor just as Kaduna and Nasarawa will take the center stage in group B, Ogun will confront Kano state as Rivers and Zamfara will crown it up in group A, in group C Sokoto will engage Lagos state, Bauchi and FCT will play their last matches in group C, Osun and Oyo will battle it out just as Ekiti and Kebbi will take the center stage in group D

UEFA announces new Champions League format

UEFA on Monday confirmed that a new format for the Champions League will be introduced from 2024 with the number of clubs in the group stage increasing from 32 to 36, despite an earlier announcement that 12 major clubs were planning to break away and start a rival Super League.

The new format — which will see all 36 clubs brought together into one pool instead of the current system of four-team groups — was approved at an executive committee meeting of European football’s governing body in Switzerland.
