In a bid to promote self-reliance and economic empowerment among women, the Senator representing Ondo North Senatorial District, Senator (Dr) Olajide Ipinsagba, has provided substantial financial support to women under the Ipinsagba Women Initiative to boost their businesses.
In a statement Signed on Wednesday  by the SSA, Media & Communications to Senator Olajide Ipinsagba, Prince Adeyinka Ajagunna stated that empowerment programme, which forms part of Senator Ipinsagba’s campaign promises, attracted notable party leaders, including Hon. Olokoba Folly, Lateef Jimoh, Hon. Taju Aminu, Hon. Ogbohunekun Adeleke, Hon. Ojo Omosulu, and Hon. Kolade Kazeem.
Also in attendance were women coordinators such as Hon. Mrs. Salami Fatimat, Hon. Mrs. Abdullahi Fatimat, and Hon. Mrs. Afolabi Mary Biola, who lent their support to the initiative.
Beneficiaries expressed heartfelt appreciation to Senator Ipinsagba for his generosity, pledging their unwavering loyalty to him and the All Progressives Congress (APC). They affirmed that the party remains firmly rooted in the region and vowed to stand by it beyond 2027.
The Ipinsagba Women Initiative underscores Senator Ipinsagba’s unwavering commitment to grassroots development, women empowerment, and sustainable economic growth in Ondo North.

AUDA-NEPAD CEO Highlights Collaboration as Catalyst for Africa’s Economic Competitiveness

The Chief Executive Officer and National Coordinator of AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria, Hon. Jabiru Salisu Abdullahi, has called for stronger public-private partnerships to boost Africa’s global competitiveness.
Speaking at the High-Level Business Forum 2025 organised by the NEPAD Business Group Nigeria in Lagos, Hon. Abdullahi said Africa’s transformation will be driven by enterprise, not aid.
He urged governments to create enabling environments that foster innovation, industrial growth, and sustainable development.
He reaffirmed AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria’s commitment to working with private sector actors and development partners to deliver key initiatives in agriculture, ICT, manufacturing, and renewable energy under the AU Agenda 2063 framework.
The event brought together top business and policy leaders, including representatives from the African Business Roundtable, the Bank of Industry, the Africa Finance Corporation, and the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, among others.
