Nigeria Vs Burkina Faso: Chinonso Eye Gold Medal In Men Football As Birthday Gift
Flying Eagles striker Emeka Chinonso has charged his team mates to remain focus ahead of today’s final match against Burkina Faso at the ongoing 2019 African Games in Morocco.
The lanky striker whose goal against the host Morocco in the last group game ensured Nigeria picked the semifinal ticket admitted that the final match will be tough but optimistic that the Flying Eagles are more determined and focused than their Burkina Faso counterparts.
He added that his team mates should borrow a leaf from the Falconets who won Cameroon on penalties to win the gold medal in women football event on Thursday.
When asked about his personal target in today’s match, Chinonso prayed that God should give him the opportunity  to score hattrick for Nigeria.
He however, heaped praises on NFF for choosing Paul Aigbogun,  describing (Aigbogun) as one of the best coach in the country today.
His word: “Coincidentally,  today is the final match between Nigeria and Burkina Faso, the same day i will be a year older. As birthday gift, i want my team mates to borrow a leaf from our girls the Falconets who won gold medal in women’s football event. We must remain focused and determined to pick the gold medal and that will be a perfect birthday gift for me.”
“Personally, i pray to God to give me the opportunity to score hattrick in today’s final. This will be my own birthday gift to Nigerians. But ultimately, winning the gold medal by our collective efforts will make my day complete.
“I want to thank the NFF for throwing their weight behind coach Paul Aigbogun even when there are challenges. He is no doubt one of the best  the land and that can be proven by taking the team to the final of the competition after 41 years.”
The Flying Eagles will today lock horns with Burkina Faso U20 national team in the final of the 2019 African Games Men’s final in Rabat.
Both sides met in their first group game of the competition which ended in a barren draw.

CSO Salutes Trump

A Civil Society Organization (CSO) under the aegis of Initiative for Leadership Development and Change (ILDC) has congratulated President Donald Trump as the 47th President of the United States of America.

Chief Ugochukwu Nnam, President of the CSO said this in an interview with the Newsmen in Abuja on Monday.

He expressed optimism over improvement on not just American economy but global economy with the inauguration of Trump.

“This is a man with greater vision of making environment around him great.

“In less than few hours of his inauguration, TikTok is back into existence, this shows how he is going to revive the world economy,” he said.

The ILDC boss who reiterated his confidence in Trump’s Presidency, described him as a man of clues and ideas to drive a stable America and the world at large.

He lauded Trump’s collaboration with global entrepreneurs like Elon Musk in an effort to revitalize America’s economy.

According to him, men and women of ideas flock together, they work together for better society and this is what Trump is doing.

Recall that Donald Trump became the 47th President of the U.S by polling 312 electoral votes Vice President Kamala Harris’ 226 votes in Nov, 2024.

Following the oath of office, Trump will address the nation before he is expected to parade across town to the White House and attend three inaugural balls in the evening

About 200,000 supporters are expected to visit the city to mark the presidential transfer of power.
