A Grassroots soccer competition organized by President of Ottasolo International Gabriel Davies tagged: Ottasolo U15 Football Tournament, kicked off in Ayobo, Lagos on Saturday.
The championship created for U15 players will feature 24 teams selected across local governments in Lagos.
Speaking at the unveiling of the competition, the President of Ottasolo International, Gabriel Davies, said: “The challenge makes the participating teams fight for the prize while the competition increases their level. There would be 31 explosive matches; the competition is among 24 teams. We have decided to give books to all teams. The cash prizes will go to the players as a reward for their efforts.”
Charging the youths to remain focused in order to maximise their potentials, Gabriel Davies, said: “The tournament is a drive to discover and develop talents from the competition. Success begins with a step, these young talents have the opportunity to make a career for themselves if they so desired. Everything is a choice, we have provided the platform our intention is to support them and make them stay in the right path.”
Also explaining reason for the football event, the former Stores star, said: “What the competition is all about is to discover youths that have talents from the grassroots.”
“What happens if these lads are talented? How are they exposed and how are they discovered? So, we are using this opportunity to unearth talents,.”
In the opening match, S.Nada humbled Bora FC 3-1.
